Judedavid Ogochukwu Mbamalu Esq is the managing partner of Jumbo Chambers Legal. He graduated from University of Nigeria in 1986 with an LLB (Hons). Thereafter he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where he obtained his barrister-at-law (BL) with honours in 1987. He was called to the Nigerian bar as a barrister and solicitor of the supreme court of Nigeria on 22nd October 1987. He has since then been in active legal practice in Nigeria, in the course of which he has honed his skills in advocacy, brief writing and corporate practice. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with Merit, in Computer and Communications Law from Queen Mary University of London and in Maritime and Commercial Law from Lagos State University, Nigeria. He has a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University and a Legum Doctor (Doctor of Laws) LLD from University of South Africa. Dr. Mbamalu has successfully completed various courses like Privacy and Data Protection from United Nations Institute for Training and Research [UNITAR] Apart from heading the litigation section of the firm, he is prodigiously vast in arbitration, IP Law, Computer Law, Internet Jurisdiction Law, Telecommunication Law, e-Commerce Issues, Oil and Gas Law, Maritime Law, Legal Drafting and Commercial Law. This vast knowledge inevitably impacts heavily on the areas of core competences of the law firm. Dr. Mbamalu is a prolific writer, whose works have been published in various journals. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Chartered Institute of Arbitration (UK) and the Cybercrime Law Society (Nigeria), where he serves as the executive secretary. He is a Notary Public for Nigeria.
